So how can you best support employees so that they can continue to perform well while also managing their own stress and personal trials? Through Portico’s benefits, members and covered dependents have access to a spectrum of valuable resources to help them identify current and ongoing stressors and provide education or services.
Employee Assistance Program (EAP):
At no additional cost, members and covered dependents can access confidential 24/7 phone support through the Beacon Wellbeing EAP. This program provides counseling (six sessions per issue per year) to address unexpected life changes, stress, anxiety, depression, family and relationship issues, substance use, and grief. EAP also includes an initial consultation for a legal issue, referrals to child and elder care services, and help with financial concerns.

Online Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) Courses:
Based on principles of cognitive behavioral therapy, Learn to Live is designed for members and family members age 13 and older to learn at their own pace through online, coach-supported programs about topics including:
- Stress, anxiety, and worry
- Social anxiety
- Substance use
Online Well-Being Resources:
Additionally, employees have access to Being Academy, with custom faith-based content delivered through podcasts and online courses (recent topics: beating burnout, navigating anxiety, managing grief).
