Helping employees maintain mental health is critical, whether they work on site or remotely. Here at Portico, we know that focused, compassionate people are the heart of your organization and directly impact your ability to serve.

So how can you best support employees so that they can continue to perform well while also managing their own stress and personal trials? Providing Portico’s benefits to your employees that give them tools to identify symptoms of stress, burnout, and other mental health conditions. Encourage them to pay attention to these signs and point them in the direction of the great mental health programs and services offered to them through their benefits.

Through Portico’s benefits, members and covered dependents have access to a spectrum of valuable resources to help them identify current and ongoing stressors and provide education or services.

Employee Assistance Program (EAP):

At no additional cost, members and covered dependents can access confidential 24/7 phone support through the Beacon Wellbeing EAP. This program provides counseling (six sessions per issue per year) to address unexpected life changes, stress, anxiety, depression, family and relationship issues, substance use, and grief. EAP also includes an initial consultation for a legal issue, referrals to child and elder care services, and help with financial concerns.

Online Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) Courses:

Based on principles of cognitive behavioral therapy, Learn to Live is designed for members and family members age 13 and older to learn at their own pace through online, coach-supported programs about topics including:

  • Stress, anxiety, and worry
  • Social anxiety
  • Depression
  • Insomnia
  • Substance use

Online Well-Being Resources:

Additionally, employees have access to Being Academy, with custom faith-based content delivered through podcasts and online courses (recent topics: beating burnout, navigating anxiety, managing grief).
