Description
Under the direction of the Sr. Director, Benefits Administration, this position is responsible for the operational output of assigned functional areas. Builds trusted relationships between Benefits Administration and Portico business units in support of a Benefits Administration strategy that aligns with the Portico business strategy.
This position must understand and comply with all of Portico’s Governance, Risk, and Compliance standards (e.g. internal controls, regulatory compliance, policy compliance, and evidence retention) and promotes these standards in a manner that is required of all managers.
This position is also responsible for their direct reports understanding and complying with Portico’s Governance, Risk, and Compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manages Benefits Administration team.
- Collaborates with other departments.
- Evaluates results within business unit to determine if organizational objectives are being met.
- Ensures that the necessary backups are in place so that workload can be properly executed.
- Coordinates and communicates required activities in support of multiple types of member changes/events.
- Provides the necessary support to managers and leads throughout the unit.
- Ensures the production team is aware of any issues or defects impacting the team.
- Coordinates information system priorities.
- Executes human resource management practices including hiring, terminating, goal setting, coaching, developing, and appraising performance and salary reviews.
- Responsible for resource allocation including budget and personnel. Applies sound fiscal judgment in assessing and developing strategies to ensure maximum effectiveness and efficiency.
- Demonstrates solid performance of organizational, managerial, and leadership competencies.
Qualifications
Must possess knowledge and experience in the following:
- Experience with CRM.
- Baseline benefits knowledge.
Education
- BS or BA
Experience
- 5 – 7 years of related experience.
- 3+ years planning, budgeting, and human resource management experience.
- Experience with SAP HCM.
STARTING PAY RANGE: $110,030 – $140,547 per year.
