Paul Sterling

Chief Operating Officer

Paul brings extensive leadership experience spanning operations, strategy, finance, and product innovation to Portico, where he provides direct oversight for business operations and staff functions as Chief Operating Officer.

A ministry of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, Portico helps those who serve to live well – financially, emotionally, and physically. Throughout his career, Paul has been dedicated to delivering innovative health and well-being products, driving better care delivery, and focusing on service excellence.

His background includes leadership positions with UnitedHealthcare, Optum, and AccentCare, as well as consulting experience with Accenture. Most recently, he was Chief Operating Officer for Employer Health Innovation Roundtable (EHIR), a World50 Group Company.

Paul holds an MBA from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota and a bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems from Minnesota State University, Mankato.

He and his wife, Kaury, have two children, and they live in Prior Lake.
