Description
This leadership role collaborates with business analysis and operational teams to ensure the efficient and strategic delivery of Benefits Administration services. The position is responsible for managing cross-functional teams, optimizing business processes, and implementing initiatives that drive operational excellence. Key responsibilities include strategic planning, employee engagement, data analysis, compliance, and quality assurance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement business and administrative strategies aligned with organizational goals.
- Balance and prioritize workloads across projects and ongoing support.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain expertise in benefits administration processes, billing functions, research activities, and data quality management.
- Analyze technical specifications and requirements; oversee product enhancements and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Collaborate across departments to ensure operational capabilities meet business and customer satisfaction goals.
- Champion a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, including requirements validation and scope definition.
- Provide production support and coordinate escalation and resolution of incidents with IT teams.
- Support business analysts and developers with triage as needed.
- Understand and comply with all of Portico’s Governance, Risk, and Compliance standards (e.g. internal controls, regulatory compliance, policy compliance evidence retention) and promote these standards in a manner that is required of all managers.
Qualifications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Proficiency in requirements analysis and data-driven decision-making.
- Agile mindset with a strong focus on operational efficiency.
- Intermediate to expert-level proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server and Reporting Services.
- Familiarity with data management and reporting tools such as SAP, ETL, and data exchange platforms.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain organizational oversight.
- Demonstrated leadership and mentoring capabilities with a focus on team performance and collaboration.
- Experience in change management and process optimization.
- Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
Experience:
- 8 or more years of experience in business analysis, operations, project leadership, process improvement, and reporting.
- 7 or more years of demonstrated management and leadership experience.
- Experience in benefits and health care-related fields is preferred.
Starting Pay Range: $120,000 – $140,000
