The Quality Assurance Analyst is responsible for the processes and procedures of software quality planning, quality assurance, and quality control, with continuous process improvement activities. The QA Analyst thoroughly tests software and data to ensure proper orientation and freedom from defects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop test cases based on requirements to ensure thorough test coverage; implement, maintain, and enhance test plans, test scripts, and test methodologies to ensure compliance with system specifications and end-user requirements
  • Execute test suites and document results that will ensure the goals of the release are met prior to final deployment
  • Analyze application changes and design granular test cases to execute against new system enhancements
  • Assist QA lead in developing test strategy, including regression test cases
  • Document all problems and work to resolve them; report progress on problem resolution to management
  • Collaborate with other QA personnel, business analysts, developers, and release management staff to complete functional, regression, usability and integration testing
  • Participate in and establish job automation testing methods, procedures, and test cases


  • Strong communications and human relations skills
  • Ability to understand and communicate complex technical information in easy to understand language
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • Familiarity with retirement or healthcare-related systems, rules and regulations
  • Understanding of the interaction and relationships between multiple systems
  • General knowledge of information systems processes such as security, change control, systems development lifecycle, and operations
  • Proficiency in developing and implementing test plans and test scripts
  • Working knowledge of automated testing software such as HP QuickTest Professional or Microsoft Visual Studio Test Professional a plus
  • Experience and understanding of object-oriented programming a plus
  • Proficiency with computers to include desktop management, file management and operations, and working in a network environment
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and other assignments according to agreed-upon deadlines by negotiating with other team members


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related business experience


  • Minimum of 2 years of QA testing experience, healthcare or insurance field preferred
  • Experience in test script automation is desired
  • Advanced coursework or Certified Software Test Professional (CSTP) certification is desired
