Description:

This position will plan and direct the financial planning and analysis function to ensure incisive analysis and insight regarding Portico Benefit Service’s performance, issues, and opportunities. The candidate will work with organization leadership and management to quantify strategic initiatives and business objectives in accordance with Portico’s mission, vision, and values.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze business cases and support decision making to ensure projects support the corporate mission, vision, and values
  • Communicate results to key customers and stakeholders both via monthly metrics reports and face-to-face meetings
  • Collaborate with other teams to conduct accurate and timely month end close reporting, quarterly reporting, year-end reporting, annual planning and budgeting, variance reporting, and monthly forecasting
  • Review and report on project profitability, perform capital investment analysis to ensure projects and investments are viable and make sense for the strategic direction of the company
  • Deliver financial analysis services to Portico management by providing analysis and support for all business cases, new ventures, products, and pricing proposals
  • Serve as a financial liaison to other departments within Portico
  • Understand and apply Portico compliance, enterprise risk management, and quality activity standards, and promote these standards, including entity-level policy and practice standards that pertain to control evidence retention
  • Supervise, support, and develop the Sr. Financial Analyst
  • Assist business units in identifying and refining key performance indicators
  • Present financial results to directors, officers, and board members

Qualifications:

  • Proactive, self-managing, engaged, motivated
  • Strong attention to detail, yet able to see the broader picture
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to understand issues from an operations perspective

Education

  • MBA with finance concentration required

Experience

  • 8+ years of relevant experience in the field, including working at the enterprise and leadership level
